After the first depositions of the Martin family some developments are already evident. The Defense did not complete the deposition of the Prosecution’s Star witness, so a second round will have to be scheduled.
Another important development is that the Defense had filed a motion to reconsider and clarify the Judges earlier determination block a scheduled deposition of Benjamin Crump the Martin family attorney.
This decision which many found controversial, as it reversed an earlier order by the Judge Nelson herself for Crump to be deposed and answer questions about the circumstances surrounding Witness 8 and his involvement, and instead accept a sworn affidavit regarding his involvement.
Related the Judge filed a motion, released yesterday but dated back to March 6th, requesting that GZ be present at his next scheduled hearing on April 2nd.
